In recent years, companies in Romania have realised that smart technology boosts productivity of battery company through local start-up collaborations.<\/p>

ROMBAT<\/a> has been operating on the Romanian market for over 40 years and it is the market leader in batteries for cars, trucks or motorcycles. Also, the company from Bistri\u021ba has multiple collaborations with international manufacturers being their battery supplier.<\/p>

The company has over 100 representatives in 40 countries across four continents. Essentially, this Romanian firm assists thousands of individuals. In September 2021, ROMBAT decided to implement the KFactory solution for monitoring and increasing the performance and productivity of the production lines, using KFactory Core<\/a> und KFactory Analytics<\/a>. Alin Ioane\u0219, general manager of ROMBAT, explains how a company with tradition works with a start-up. Also, the importance of digitalization and transformation in the industry.<\/p>

It took ROMBAT eight weeks to implement the KFactory system on a complex vehicle battery assembly line. From a post-factum analysis to a real-time, automated one that can link additional information from the production line, ROMBAT has undergone a shift. Therefore, digitisation can contribute to greater productivity. Following the implementation of the pilot project in September, ROMBAT expanded the monitoring to more lines in April 2022.<\/strong><\/p>

Herausforderungen und Chancen f\u00fcr ROMBAT<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>

Rombat competes in a market that is incredibly difficult and competitive. In the mobility sector, there is now a shift toward hybrid or electric solutions, however the growth pace is still rather slow. However, the Romanian business must continually maintain its competitiveness. KFactory assisted ROMBAT in digitizing its production lines.<\/p>

\u201c<\/em>\u00a0Wir m\u00fcssen anpassungsf\u00e4hig sein, Trends fr\u00fchzeitig erkennen und in der Lage sein, schnell auf Ver\u00e4nderungen in unserem Unternehmensumfeld zu reagieren\", sagt Alin Ioane\u015f.<\/em><\/p>

Wir lassen die Rohstoffpreise gelegentlich au\u00dfer Acht, aber die Zug\u00e4nglichkeit ist entscheidend\", sagt er. Auch die Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrung von ROMBAT macht geltend, dass es viele Herausforderungen zu bew\u00e4ltigen gibt. Dazu geh\u00f6ren seiner Meinung nach die Verf\u00fcgbarkeit von Arbeitskr\u00e4ften, die ein allgemeines Problem darstellt, die Lieferfristen, die Containerkrise, die Energiekrise, die Mikrochipkrise und der Konflikt in der Ukraine. Es gibt im Grunde nur Hindernisse, daher sind Kostensenkungen oder -optimierungen von entscheidender Bedeutung.<\/p>

ROMBAT, das derzeit drei Produktionsstandorte unterh\u00e4lt, beobachtet st\u00e4ndig, wie sich der Markt ver\u00e4ndert. Wie lief dieser Prozess in der Vergangenheit ab? \" Wir beobachteten diese Metriken und hatten KPIs in diesem Bereich, aber die Daten wurden manuell in das ERP-System eingepflegt. We are able to assess their productivity in real-time. Dank der\u00a0KFactory technology<\/a>. What does this mean? Employees at ROMBAT can determine the causes and the frequency of unplanned shutdowns if they see that there are too many of them. Smart technology boosts productivity of battery company.<\/p>

Alin Ioane\u0219 f\u00fcgt hinzu: \"Wenn wir feststellen, dass eine Ursache sehr h\u00e4ufig auftritt, k\u00f6nnen wir das Problem an der Wurzel packen und untersuchen.<\/p>

Infolgedessen kommt die Anlage schneller in Gang, was wiederum die Produktion und das Einkommen steigert. Treten Unterbrechungen in unregelm\u00e4\u00dfigen Abst\u00e4nden auf und liegt die Kadenz der Linie auf dem vorgesehenen Niveau, kann ROMBAT diese Unterbrechungen au\u00dferdem sehr gut nachverfolgen. Im Vergleich zur fr\u00fcheren Erfassung - entweder manuell oder mit Hilfe anderer Systeme - kann nun schnell eingegriffen werden. Au\u00dferdem lassen sich Vergleiche \u00fcber mehrere Produktionslinien hinweg anstellen, um die Produktion generell zu optimieren.<\/p>

Wenn sich die Mitarbeiter bewusst sind, dass die \u00dcberwachung korrekte Daten liefert, kann die Technologie zudem eine gr\u00f6\u00dfere Verantwortlichkeit f\u00f6rdern.<\/p>

Er sagt, dass die Schnittstelle von KFactory benutzerfreundlich ist, was entscheidend ist, damit man sich nicht in den Feinheiten verzettelt.<\/p>
